The loop that leaves Los Alamos and goes out to foxen road to Ballard canyon and back by Drum canyon is 43 miles long and over 3,ooo feet of climbing. It used to be a morning ride, but at 75, it is now a morning and afternoon ride.
The ride I did in 2015 provides a lot of details, but I have included a couple of extra minor items here. It was a releavity cold morning, that got colder and the day progressed because the clouds came in and hid the sun.
